I was doing a little research and found some very odd Idaho laws. I don’t know if this one is real or not, I will have to dig deeper. I thought it was funny enough to share, though. We do take our potatoes seriously!
In Idaho, selling an “Idaho Deluxe” potato with rot, cracking, or sunburn earns six months in jail.
I have never heard of a sunburned potato. At least I sure hope they are talking about the potato and not the person selling it! Anyone with rot or cracking probably should not be handling food, what do you think?
