My son and I have started back to work with our house cleaning. I am going to keep a more relaxed schedule with only three houses per week. That way I can still work a bit but have more time off. It is actually great exercise so will give me something active to do. I will also probably do more of the yard work (except the heavy trimming). I’m really excited about it! I think at this point, if I completely retire and don’t work at all, I will get bored and possibly gain more weight! I don’t want that.
I will need to wear a face mask while cleaning. Our clients are not requiring it, but I’m going to do it for them and for me. Some cleaning products make me sneeze and cough. During this time of fear, the last thing I want to be doing is sneezing and coughing while I’m cleaning a house!
I’ve tried to make my own face mask and just can’t seem to make them work right. I destroyed two perfectly good shirts trying to make them. I did order some washable ones, but haven’t received them yet. I am going to try to make one again today and hopefully it will work! I don’t really have anything to use to loop around the ears, so I might make them the kind you tie on. It will get me by until I get mine in the mail.
I hope you all are still safe and healthy. I will let you know how my face mask creating turns out!
I have had some problems with masks myself. A sweet friend finally sent Steve and me two homemade ones. Before that, we were mostly doing the Old West Bad Guy thing with bandanas.
Hope you can continue to get cleaning supplies. The shelves here remain empty. I talked to my hairdresser today and it is a concern of hers as she can no longer get the gloves she likes to use and will need to reopen her business.
I have enough for about a month. Luckily, I restocked about a week before the panic buying happened. It’s my hope that I can find Lysol or something similar within a couple of weeks. We shall see.
I discovered the same thing about retirement. I love feeling productive, too.
Part time is a good choice. There are smart businesses that understand the youngest generation in the work force aren’t always the best choice. There is great value in work ethic, and people who want someone to clean their homes want people who aren’t going to ransack it at the same time. 🙂 .
we used the material from old first aid kits… but the result was not what I expected
