Today is the perfect day to be happy!
I tell myself that in the morning. It’s really not always easy to be happy and what exactly does it mean to be happy? I think that is different for everyone. You have to find out what makes you feel content, satisfied, comfortable, etc. Even if you achieve one of those, I think you can call that being happy. In my 64 years I don’t know that I’ve achieved all of that in one day. So, you might as well smile and say you are happy today! There are days you just can’t do it, I know. I have those days. Get through them and tomorrow might be a happy day.
Our house is still having electrical issues and I’m starting to feel like a Dwarf or Hobbit. I’m in a dark cave or a Hobbit hole. My night vision is improving! I have a couple of battery operated lights, but we use them sparingly because batteries are not cheap. We are on our third bid from electricians. I can’t blame the landlord for wanting to find the best price, but each time it takes up to two weeks to just get the estimate and I was told it would most likely be December before anyone can come out to do the job. They will need to totally shut down the house for up to two days. We are going to freeze, but maybe in the end it will be worth it. I would stay in a hotel for a night if I could afford to, but that is not going to happen. We can’t just abandon our cats for that time, either, and boarding them would cost a fortune as well. We will all group together and keep warm with blankets, I guess. I refuse to let this stress me out. I am still finding my happy in every day. It’s always there if you dig deep enough.
So there it is. My quote for today.
Today is the perfect day to be happy.

This is distressing news, but if you can be happy through all this, you can do anything!
Praying all works out much sooner that it appears that it will.
